Sam Got Drunk

Sam Shepard, the actor and playwright has been arrested in central Illinois on preliminary charges of speeding and drunken driving Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009. Normal, Illinois Police say Shepard was stopped by police around 2 a.m. Saturday in Normal. The 65-year-old Shepard was driving a Chevy Blazer 16 mph over the 30-mph speed limit when he was pulled over. Police say the vehicle went up onto the curb and Shepard appeared intoxicated to officers.
